Tyler was born in Milford, CT and moved to Meriden, CT at a very young age. Tyler was scouted by the Men's Youth National Team for the United States at the age of 15, and continued with them till the age of 21. In between that time Tyler signed his first professional contract in the MLS at 18 for Orlando City S.C. After his spell there he was picked up by the LA Galaxy for a year. Also played in the USL Championship (Second Division Pro in the U.S.) for many years and tallied 91 games total in that league and also stayed a year in Costa Rica playing pro.
Tyler has coached all over the states for various teams all at different levels. Tyler's first coaching stint was when he played in Orlando. Tyler volunteered for his pro team and was able to coach the "B" team in their practices and the semi pro team for their games. From there Tyler went to work for an, ECNL program, Florida Kraze Krush in Orlando, FL. Tyler's last year in Orlando he was able to intern coach at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. At Cheshire SC in CT, Tyler was running their tots program and also coached several of their teams. Tyler also coached some South Central Premier and CFC teams\players.
